Jim’s experience in the healthcare industry started when he was 10 years old. His dad owned an optical that manufactured and sold eye glasses. During workdays, Jim helped with the front office management and made sure the optometrists had everything they needed, while nights were spent in the lab manufacturing eye glasses. Through his time here, he realized how rewarding it was to help change people’s lives through better vision. However, Jim didn’t follow the traditional route into the healthcare industry by becoming a doctor. He realized that with his skill set, he could help more patients across a broader spectrum than just optometry.
In recent years, Jim has worked as a CPA alongside businesses of all sizes in healthcare and many other industries during his time in public accounting. He realized that doctors deserve the opportunity to focus solely on serving their patients but were hindered with time constraints that prevented them from managing their practice to the fullest potential. In addition, many practices were using out-dated technology, lacked internal controls, and were not tracking the metrics relevant to making data-driven decisions to improve their bottom lines.
As time went on, Jim felt he needed to focus his expertise where he started as a kid…helping doctors serve their patients the best way possible. By leveraging his background in accounting and the operations of the healthcare industry he saw an opportunity to fill a need that healthcare practices of all sizes were asking for…a healthcare, business expert to help doctors keep up with everything from bookkeeping and taxes to tracking specific practice analytics and making the decisions that will bring growth while providing opportunities to better serve their patients.
Remedy was launched.
